Who are The Independent Bikers of NC?

In January 2005 four bikers got together to form a multi-cultural group called Independent Bikers, with more emphasis on riding than the club atmosphere. We are not a club. Most important, Independent Bikers really cherish the joy of riding their bikes and have grown to more than 100 bikers. Persons desiring safe adventurous motorcycle riding through group unity with respect for each other are encouraged to ride with us.

While we do operate as a group no officers are elected, no dues, membership fees, expenses or bills are imposed. We do recognize death in each Independent Bikers immediate family by sending flowers and recover the money by passing the hat at the next meeting. We also follow an agenda at the meeting and clearly finalize each item of discussion by majority rule.

We are available for charitable fund raising events that support community development. An Independent Biker Contact List and an Annual Motorcycle Events List is updated after each meeting and emailed monthly. Our “Get-together Meeting” is on the 2ND Sunday of each month at 3PM for no more than one hour and is held at a place sponsored by various Independent Bikers. All scheduled rides require a sponsor to handle the logistics involving the ride.

While we prefer cruiser style bikes other styles are acceptable. Staggered style riding is preferred and safety is always our first and main concern.
